Missing NGS?

Am I the only genealogist out there NOT at the National Genealogical Society Conference in Richmond, VA this week? My guess is probably not. If, like me, you did not make the trip to Richmond, you can still keep up with some of the breaking news from the conference. Dick Eastman has posted information on some major announcements made at NGS involving the Family History Library, World Vital Records, Footnote.com and more! Click here to read all about it on his blog.

There is also a conference blog on the NGS Web site, but right now it only has conference logistical details on it (info on hotel rooms, tours, etc.)

  1. No, you’re not alone… I’d love to have been able to go to Richmond but there’s this thing called ‘work’ that must be done. However, I am planning to go to the FGS Conference in Fort Wayne in August as it’s only 45 minutes away from where I live! These are definitely exciting times in the world of genealogy.
