Listen to Your Mother…Visit Storycorps

In celebration of Mother’s Day, this Sunday, why not take a few minutes to visit StoryCorps? You can listen to some of the great conversations between children and their moms, adult siblings remembering their mothers, and mothers themselves recounting their experience of motherhood captured at StoryCorps facilities around the country.

And, while your at it, if your mother or grandmother is still alive, sit down and interview her and don’t forget your camcorder or at the very least a tape or digital voice recorder! Mother’s Day provides the perfect opportunity. Having lost my mother almost seven years ago, the interviews I recorded with her and preserved on tape are among my most cherihed family treasures!
