Two Special Stories about Mother’s Day and Father’s Day

This in from Tom Kemp over at Genealogy Bank.

“Today would be Anna Marie Jarvis’s 143rd birthday so let’s honor her andher accomplishments by re-reading her story. “

Here are two sentimental stories that remind us of the love we have for our own parents as we see the love that Anna Marie Jarvis and Sonora Dodd hadfor their own parents that independently drove these two women to createthese national holidays. Mother’s Day in 1908 and Father’s Day in 1910. Brought tears to my eyes–as both my parents are gone. I miss them and wish that they were still here so I could celebrate these special days with them.
